Christmas Lights

Slightly out of order but Friday night I met up with Jon to see the lights at 30 Rock in midtown. So many tourists all around but it was nice to see all of the lights and Christmas spirit going around. Great way to kick off December. After being overwhelmed by tourists we headed down to Union Square to walk around and grab dinner at a pizza place down there. There’s a holiday market that has been set up for a while now with lots of lights and vendors which is fun to walk through.

Then finally back to Brooklyn where the neighborhood is just starting to get lit up!

I absolutely love being in the city during the holiday! So much fun to walk down the streets filled with lights (Astoria even has music playing outside shops!) and christmas tree stands.  I have a few more spots picked out that I’m going to bring Jon to – Grand Central Station & Columbus Circle, both apparently have great christmas displays. It’s only December 2nd too – so much time to fit in more holiday related exploring.

  1. Beautiful! Did you see the light show projected on the Saks Fifth Avenue Store across from Lincoln Center. Worth another trip to midtown if you missed it.
